Steve Brine joined Cllr Richard Izard and a host of guests at the grand opening of the new Sunstar convenience store in Colden Common on Friday 9th December.
The MP cut the ribbon in front of assembled press as staff and customers celebrated the first day of the trading at the Main Rd store, situated opposite the local recreation ground in the Old Post Office.
Speaking on his way to surgery, Steve said: "Knowing the owner, Sri, as I do, I am sure that he and his team will make a huge success of this business. Residents at this end of Colden Common have been crying out for a convenience store like this, and will I am sure be very happy at the services- including laundry and dry cleaning- the team have to offer."
