Steve Brine dropped into Winchester Hospital on Friday 6th January to join staff as they marked the end of Winchester & Eastleigh Health Care Trust (WEHCT) and said goodbye to the Trust Board and chairman.

The event was held in the St Catherine's restaurant at RHCH, which now merges with Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust, run by Mary Edwards.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "I have always been fully behind our hospital and a personal visit is always extremely useful for me.

"It was great to see so many faces here today, and while we say goodbye to Mike Gretton I am very much looking forward to working with Mary Edwards, who runs the Basingstoke and North Hampshire organisation."

Dr Chris Gordon, acting CEO of WEHCT added his thanks to Steve for his consistent support of the Trust.
