Steve Brine, Cllr Jamie Scott and community campaigner Derek Green have recently been out and about with looking at the progress being made by the city council to improve Stanmore.

One improvement that has had a lot of positive feedback is parking in Thurmond Crescent.

Derek, a local resident for many years, said: "The revamped parking bays will make this area look much smarter and benefit all those in the area."

Jamie commented: "Another improvement that you will see is the pedestrian area renovations at Wavell Way shops, which I know will be warmly welcomed."

Local MP Steve Brine added: "I made a point of coming out here to take a look after chatting to staff and students at Kings' School, and I am very impressed, particularly with the work carried out on Thurmond Crescent. I would add that if any residents are concerned about the area, then please do get in touch!"
