Steve Brine visited Weeke Primary School on Friday 3rd February to discuss a number of issues, including the MP's vision for a new city primary school.

Steve met with the headteacher, Maggie Hastie, and chair of governors, Sheila Anderson, and joined them in a tour of the school, based on Stoney Lane.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "I had to rearrange this visit due to an important Commons vote last month, but it was an absolute priority for me to take the time to meet Maggie and the team here.

"It was really worthwhile, and I was pleased we managed to talk about a number of matters, not least the need for a new primary school here in Winchester.

"Weeke Primary really is an impressive school, very well-led, and serves local children superbly."
