Steve dropped in to see the guys from Winnall Rock School at their stand at the Festival of Volunteering event on Sunday 3rd June.
Winnall Rock School runs every Tuesday evening during term time for 10-17 year olds, and is based at KAYAC on Winnall Valley Road.
There are free 5-week courses in guitar, drums, beat-boxing, piano, rapping, bass, song-writing, poetry, music tech & recording and live performance, and all levels are welcome.
Steve said:"It was great to see WRS at this event, and we are already sorting out a time when I can visit and see what they do for myself. I know that the teaching is all carried out by inspiring and professional musicians, and I am sure many young people across the area will be interested in finding out more."
