Steve Brine attended the annual flag raising ceremony at the Great Hall on Monday 25th June as the county marked Armed Forces Week.
Jointly organised by Hampshire County Council, Winchester City Council and Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Dame Mary Fagan, the event helps raise public awareness of the military and gives the local community the opportunity to show their support for the Armed Forces.
Speaking afterwards on his way to London, Steve said: "It was with great pleasure that I was able to attend the event this lunchtime, and I know how important this ceremony is, particularly with our own very proud military tradition here in Winchester.
