Steve Brine has welcomed news that Weston Sailing Club, in Southampton, has received a Sport England grant which will delight many of the keen sailors in his constituency.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP represents a large number of recreational sailors, and news of the £50,000 award will no doubt go down well.
Steve said: "I am delighted that Weston Sailing Club has been awarded this money. We have all seen over recent weeks how funding has been used to create a hugely successful generation of competitors as well as enabling those who enjoy sport recreationally to take part.
"I am sure that many of my 'landlocked' constituents who enjoy sailing or have perhaps been inspired to take part will be pleased to hear of this too, and wish the club all the very best in the future."
