Steve Brine dropped into Sainsbury's in the city centre on Friday 5th October to meet the team and hear about their community work.

With 85 employees, the store is the most successful per square feet of all the stores across the business.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "It was great to pop in this morning and chat with Stuart Purdy and his team about the business and also the work they do across the city.

"This store is one of the main town centre collection points for the Winchester Basics Bank, which I am also supporting in my Stockbridge Rd office. We discussed the issues surrounding WBB and they are aware that demand for the service is going up.

"I was also very interested to hear that their charity of the year is currently Young Carers, and wish Stuart and the team all the best in the busy run-up to Christmas."
