Steve Brine dropped into Scantabout Primary School on Friday 24th May to meet with staff and children.

The Ionic Close school aims to continue to be an outstanding school, where children are successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens equipped for future success. While visiting, Steve discussed a broad range of issues with headteacher Veronica Shaw, and was very impressed with the set-up.

Speaking afterwards, he said: "Scantabout is an outstanding school according to the inspectors and they are spot-on. I could not have received a warmer welcome and was hugely impressed with the facilities, the staff members I met and the children who were engaging and a pleasure to chat with.

"I always ask to visit the kitchen when I go to a school and was pleased to do so here where Sheila [pictured to Steve's right] has just been appointed head chef."
