IAC Acoustics, the global leader in engineered noise control solutions, welcomed local MP Steve Brine to its global headquarters in Winchester on Monday 23rd September.

Company staff were delighted to show the local MP around and were able to demonstrate to him the imaginative noise control solutions that IAC develops for clients across the world in sectors as diverse as oil and gas, health, manufacturing, aviation, automotive and education.

Established in 1949, IAC's operations span 14 offices in four different continents, including its global headquarters based in Winchester, which employs over 200 people in highly skilled manufacturing jobs.

Commenting on the visit, Winchester MP Steve Brine said: "Obviously we're not generally associated with the manufacturing sector in Winchester but this is a highly skilled industry with worldwide reach based in Winnall. I was extremely interested to see their work first hand on the factory floor and very proud they continue to choose Winchester.

"I took away some useful lessons about manufacturing locally and the recruitment challenges they face as well a reminder once again for urgent action to tackle the terrible congestion issues we face at Winnall around junction 9 which impact their business daily."

Commenting on the local MP's visit, Calum Forsyth, CEO of IAC Acoustics, said: "IAC is a genuinely global business but we are delighted to call Winchester our home and are proud to be able to contribute to the area in the form of jobs and investment.

"We are delighted that the local MP Steve Brine has been able to take this opportunity to visit our head office and learn more about the work we do trying to make the world a quieter place."
