Steve Brine has welcomed a survey asking for views on transport across the Hampshire area.

Enterprise M3 Local Area Partnership is very keen to hear opinions on where new investment should be directed, and on what the upcoming priorities should be.

Over the past year Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership has been surveying the views of businesses on key issues, concerns and priorities in relation to the transport networks serving the LEP area. The responses they received demonstrated that a well-functioning, reliable transport network plays a crucial role in supporting economic prosperity and competitiveness.

Welcoming the survey, Steve Brine said: "The LEP is currently putting together a Strategic Economic Plan which will form the basis of a bid to Government for funding. This is a bid that could potentially secure in the region of £300 million that would be spent on transport schemes and other initiatives to support businesses and other organisations in the area. Therefore, I urge anyone with an interest to take part."

The survey comes days after Steve Brine announced a special 'Ask South West Trains' public meeting, which you can find out more about via www.stevebrine.com/askswt.
