Steve Brine took his family to St Cross on Saturday 28th June as they joined local residents braving torrential rain at the St Cross Fete.
The fete is Winchester's oldest, originating in 1868, and the MP and his family were delighted to be able to attend this year's event.
Steve said: "We've missed the last few fetes at St Cross so were determined to make it this year come rain or shine. In the end it was the former which dominated and boy did it dominate!
"Well done everyone who showed the English spirit and made this work despite the downpour. The (indoor) Punch and Judy show inside the ancient St Cross Church was, literally, a god-send."
