Mr Brine was shown around the office by Delivery Office Manager, Tony Martin, and was introduced to the postmen and women who are working hard sorting and delivering mail in the run-up to Christmas.
Mr Brine said: "This is the eighth year I have made this early morning Christmas visit to the Winnall Depot and I can confirm the appetite for my mince pies is undiminished!
"Our postal workers do such an important job all year round but at this time of year especially, they go the extra mile. I would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them all the best over the busy festive period."
Tony Martin, Royal Mail Delivery Office Manager at Winchester, commented: "Our postmen and women are working extremely hard to deliver Christmas cards, letters and parcels to people across Winchester. We are grateful that Steve visited the office to see our operation and to support the team during our busiest time of year and it was good to speak with him about parking in the immediate area of the depot which he was very keen to discuss."

First Class – Saturday 20th December
