Steve Brine met up with Catherine Turness, of Winchester Business Improvement District, on Tuesday 25th July.

They had a wide-ranging conversation, including discussing vacant units in the city centre, parking, available commercial space and the Business Rates Discretionary Fund following the local consultation, on which Steve has lobbied the Chancellor, Philip Hammond.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "I really enjoyed catching up with Catherine, and we had an excellent chat about the current nature and future plans for the city centre, which I am very excited about."

They also discussed the fact that BID is up for its third term between 2018-23, with the renewable ballot approaching in order for them to carry on their work.
