Westgate School

Steve Brine visited Westgate on Friday 8th June to catch up with new headteacher Fae Dean.

The Winchester MP had a look at the nursery, which he opened (with Peppa Pig!) in 2014, and was also shown around the new lower school, which is now filled up until Year 3, and parts of the upper school.

Speaking after the visit, Steve said: "I am very grateful to Fae for setting aside the time for us to catch up today, and I really enjoyed the visit.

"We had a lot to catch up on, including funding challenges and the broader Winchester education scene after recent changes elsewhere which could impact on the school. It was also good to hear about future plans for the Maths block which will become an exciting new art and design space."
