Steve Brine drew the raffle at Lanterns on Sunday 7th October, as his family visited the B.A.B.I.E.S. (Babies and Breastfeeding Information, Encouragement and Support) Family Fun Day with the local National Childbirth Trust (NCT).
The team have supported over 250 local families over the last year, and is purely run on fundraising. This year coincided with National Grandparents Day, so the whole family really was invited.
Steve said: “Not sure how many years we’ve attended this event but I know the kids were babies themselves when we first went along. Bottom line is, I will always support the BABIES breast-feeding charity and the local NCT because they are in so many ways part of the strength of our community.
“We’ve personally benefitted from their professionalism and support and I want as many of my constituents as possible to do the same.”
