Welcome to Winchester all students arriving in September 2018 for the 2018/19 Academic Year

If you are studying in Winchester (at either the University of Winchester or the Winchester School of Art which is part of Southampton University) your Member of Parliament is Steve Brine.

Steve was elected for the first time in May 2010 and re-elected in May 2015 as well as June 2017 with over 50% of the vote. His constituency covers the city of Winchester as well as surrounding villages including Kings Worthy and Alresford. He also represents Chandler's Ford and Hiltingbury. See more on this.

As the local MP, Steve is an active supporter of the city's students and the University of Winchester in particular.  He is a regular on campus meeting students or representatives from the many University faculties or senior management team.  Steve can often be heard on the University TV channel WINOL and has even been its guest editor.

He is a regular at the annual fresher's fair as a guest of the Winchester Student Conservative Society. Last year's fair took place on Saturday 23rd September 2017 on the King Alfred Campus at the Universtity of Winchester.  Read more

During your time in Winchester, Steve is available to you and welcomes contact from local students.  He can be contacted via many different channels and holds a weekly surgery if your issue cannot be handled by correspondence.

If you and some friends would like to visit Parliament to take a tour Steve can arrange that for you; please get in touch and we will do our best to fix it up without delay.

Find Steve on Facebook or Watch Steve's You Tube Channel SBTV.
